Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sign Code (“Sign Code,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, client portal, and sign-code research services (collectively, the “Services”).
Information We Collect
We collect information needed to provide and support the Services, including:
- contact and account information, such as names, business names, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, and login credentials;
- project and service information, such as property or site details, jurisdiction information, documents, requests, and communications submitted through the Services;
- billing and transaction information, such as invoice records, payment status, and other information needed to administer our business relationship; and
- technical and usage information, such as device, browser, IP address, log, and activity information generated when you use the Services.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide the Services; perform sign-code research and fulfill requests; administer accounts, invoices, and payments; communicate with customers; provide support; maintain security and prevent misuse; improve the Services; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
QuickBooks Connection
If you choose to connect the Services to QuickBooks Online, you authorize Sign Code to access and create or update the accounting records needed for the connection, such as customer, invoice, and payment information. We use OAuth authorization and do not receive your QuickBooks password through that connection. Your use of QuickBooks Online is also subject to Intuit’s terms and privacy practices.
How We Share Information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, such as hosting, communications, support, accounting, and security providers. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights and safety of Sign Code or others, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, sale, financing, or acquisition. We do not sell customer data.
Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you, subject to applicable law and our legitimate business and legal recordkeeping needs. You may also disconnect a QuickBooks Online connection through the Services or by contacting us. To make a request, email sales@signcodeinc.com.
Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date when we do.
